Pokémon cards were my crack back in the day. I'm kind of ashamed how much I liked them and spent money just collecting the crap. I stopped somewhere during fossil edition but I had a lot of the jungle deck. Basically I never really went far beyond the first 151 pokemon if at all. Now there's a bajillion of the fucking things. We could play an online game at some point. |

Yeah; they were Top Trumps cards. Mine were Fantasy models from the 80s, like that old ogre model sticking two fingers up and this really old citadel human model with an Ancient Greek looking plumed helmet. Might have had a 40k deck as well but not epic.
Need to find them; they're probably worth a fortune but will still go on ebay for a pound because nobody has money ever...

As far as old models go i know a guy that played fantasy with the old metal goblins. The ones that are all 'flipping off' the person in front of them. I find it funny he used them and wanted me to respect the family store rules while he used them. Seems kinda hypocritical i think. Odd how GW used to be more adult or teen themed. I remember hearing on dakka the old Beastmen origin story was about noblemen that had bestiality and created them that way. I think they kept phasing that out much like 'Age of Sigmar' phasing out slaanesh and replacing him with 'the horned rat'. I mostly hate that decision (he's more like 'chaos undivided' now) esp. considering he wasn't totally chaos. That said i now have a strong urge to make chaos marauders with skaven/rat skulls covering their faces similar to the forsworn in Skyrim.

Recently I also found my old metal Skaven Blood Bowl team from 1990ish, 1st edition. I quite like the painting, have to take pictures with the old BB board. Need to do a picture drop.
