Chinese New Year celebrations have a special incentive in 2024. For the first time since 1964, it will be governed by the symbol of the wooden dragon. In Chinese tradition, each year is represented by one of the 12 different animals that appear in the Chinese zodiac. And these animals are accompanied by one of the five fundamental elements of the universe. The year of the wooden dragon begins this Saturday, February 10, with the rise of the second moon after the northern winter.
