Hey guys I'm sorry I haven't been on here but after 'Age of Sigmar' I don't really feel all that interested in skaven or warhammer fantasy. The only things that might renew my interest are mordheim, vermintide and total war: warhammer. Imo they didn't need to kill fantasy just branch out into books and esp. video games more since it worked for 40k with dawn of war (which is how I got into warhammer). I've been trying to get into 40k with dark eldar. I'm guessing empty told you about my hatred of 'age of sigmar' but I don't know. I have a slight hope that the video games bring in a bunch of people that are bummed 'age of sigmar' is there instead of fantasy and they rethink things but most likely video games are the only way fantasy will ever see the light of day again.

As far as the rest of my life it's the same old mostly. I'm trying to get a roommate or move in with two of them. The first one was like me but had no desire to improve himself (with a job, education or anything) and was much worse than me not to mention he was a bit insulting of some of my tastes like skaven and dark eldar (he was trying to be a space wolves player). The other two possible roommates i have to live with was one that was straight laced and Christian which is annoying but not too bad. The other was a bit annoying but he had a creepy ridiculous obsession with Nazis. Normally I'd think it was nothing but he said he believed in some of the Nazi ideals like having a rebirth of the roman empire in some Germania and he said it'd be perfect in the usa except with a Christian version with Christian crusaders (warriors). I mean as a game it doesn't sound bad but it was part of his philosophy too at which point I was convinced he was fucking nuts. My half sister as always thought I was tired and I was being unfair and other crap but she didn't talk to him.

On the subject of my half sister she got me to go to some expensive places and spend most of my money on various crap. I had 85 USD and now I have 12 USD. I could've gotten sandwich meat but she took me to some fast food places and such. I find it beyond crazy she wanted me to go to GW still when I had 25 USD and when I had only 12 USD. She also gets me to buy some stuff at the grocery store but nothing that's going to last. It pisses me off beyond belief that she has no fucking clue what it's like to be poor and has no clue about how to spend money. Basically I can never ever go out for meals if I have to pay because she gives me far too little to live on per week. Right now I dunno if i'll even be able to buy lunch meat, bread and a meal for the next week. It's beyond insane how little she understands how poor I am and then she complains about my eating habits and how I spend money after giving me ideas of things to buy that I have no money for.

Anyway long story short fantasy is mostly dead to me, my roommates are sadly mostly terrible or insane and my half sister living like a rich person has no clue how to spend money as a poor person.

Shopping and takeaways always chip on your money but you need to eat. I hardly ever buy plastic nowadays; I got loads of stuff a couple of weeks ago (spray paint, 2 paints, box of the new devastators and a new land speeder) but that was rare. Guess I'm quite pissed off at never having money to buy new models too but its necessary to spend on the basics. Lol at comparing your sister to Paris Hilton.

Rebirth of the Roman Empire in Germania? What the fuck is Germania, don't you mean EUistan? What does he call the Russian Federation? Casually find out and drop Russia into a random conversation. Or better still just ignore the far right weirdo.

MAN! Why the hell haven't you found a group of like minded 8th edition players online, who happen to be in your local area, getting your Skaven in gear and arranging matches around local indie stores that let you play 8th edition, yet?
Find those people; I know they're there.

Yeah I've been realizing the bit about needing to eat. I can't even go to GW anymore and barely want to. I tend to spend like 12 USD on Panera (sandwich place) over near there. The 'Age of Sigmar' thing was more the last straw as well as being too expensive. Doesn't help the factions are imbalanced and you need the newest hottest shit to win. Also it costs a lot just to get enough of an army to play people. Most people won't play under a certain points limit. That'd mean I'd need to spend hundreds just getting an army. Then I have to pray everything I got is useful. Sadly I got some hellions before knowing about how crap 7th made em and probably how bad they were in general.

My half sister should be compared more to the government understanding its citizens from the viewpoint of an affluent politician, the rich head of a multi-national corporation understanding a minimum wage worker of it and the owners of GW understanding their customers and not attributing sales from good games like 'total war: warhammer' as an effect of climate change and global warming.

I'm very curious about the dark eldar ranged weapon called the 'ossefactor'. It sounds cool but it's kinda odd how it works. Basically I think it wounds on a 2+ and is ap 2 but if the shot kills its target it does d6 hits from the dead victim's toughness being used as strength and the d6 hits ignore cover. For instance if it was an ork boy that got shot and killed it'd be d6 str 4 attacks. The range of the gun is also 24" which is a lot better than I thought it would be (i thought it'd be 12"). I still think dark eldar mostly got jack in comparison to other books (tau and eldar esp.).

Yeah as far as that roommate goes he's kinda nuts but maybe I don't have to spend time around him. The other guy is very Christian and I plan to fap once in a while and hope he doesn't know or care. Same goes if I got a girlfriend and we got in the mood. Sometimes it sucks to have a roommate but I can no longer afford living alone so for now I feel like I have to live with them.

8th is a sad ordeal. It's sad because it's not only discontinued and stuff will be hard to come by (the army books, rulebook, square and rectangle bases, as well as finding people that even still have the stuff and want to play). I loved 8th and I may play them with vampire counts or with skaven online but so much of it is gone. The FAQ's are gone and most people in most places just don't play it. GW won't allow you to play it there (another reason to hate them) and some nearby stores don't really have people coming in to play it.

I might play it on universal battle but I don't know. At least most of the stuff is available online there.

For most fantasy players I know most have left the hobby or gone to 40k. I even saw some coming to prepare to see if 9th was coming and I was excited to see people getting a chance at it only for 'Age of Shit-mar' to smear across the GW's everywhere. Just looking at the stupid ads pisses me off now. It wouldn't be so bad with points or some thought. They could've waited for all the video games like 'total war: warhammer' to come out (which has the 'total war' franchise and whose warhammer announcement trailer alone got millions of views on youtube). They could've even let fantasy live on with 'Age of Sigmar' as a game people could play instead. They could've even cut down 3/4 of the rules in 8th edition and streamlined the crap out of everything including taking out 2/3 of all the spells. All they did makes me want to sell my army to 3 people trying to get into 'Age of Sigmar' just to prevent GW getting any more profit. Though everybody wants the retarded shiny sigmarines. They aren't all bad and not everything's terrible but most of it is.

So if i do ever switch tabletop wargames i might move on to infinity or flames of war (provided they do a 'cold war' soviet era wargame in which case I'm sold being the cold war nut i am).

All that aside I've been playing various video games. It's mostly 'Endless Legend' and 'Xcom: enemy within' right now. StarCraft 2 and 'Age of Aggression' have seen some play time as well. Age of aggression is mostly dead though sadly.

In 'Endless Legend' i beat the game and flew off in the crashed spaceship with the 'Broken Lords'. I am now playing as the Cultists which are also very fun. They have this weird assimilation into the cult for minor factions ability and it's awesome. Basically when i get them to join the cult they start building me free dudes from each settlement for free and then i throw waves of them at my opponents should i wish. The Cultists can only ever have one city though so it's tough. They do get a free worker per minor faction you bring into the cult and brainwash which is really cool. So far I'm liking it though it's odd and tough esp. considering having one city means no specialization for the most part or a different one during different times. It can be rough that's for sure. At least every faction plays very differently unlike Galactic Civilizations 3 which is very similar for each faction.

Amazed my last post on here was so long ago. Anyway since then i moved out of that place with the crazy neo nazi roommate after having been there a solid 2 years maybe. God i'm glad being out of that situation.

I'm still not fully over warhammer fantasy dying. It was total BS and according to some people i know that worked at GW at the early stage of AoS it was doing poorly at the time and they were making sure everything aside from blood bowl was unplayable at GW for WHFB games (mordheim, WHFB and some others) as well as old games like BFG were unable to be played at GW or something. I did notice it was funny how even though they say the store manager is the boss in these situations i almost never heard of a store manager allowing most of these old games to be played at any GW store. So i seemed to be right with that guess. I still think Fantasy was more popular when it died than AoS is now. I almost never see AoS being played.

Far as women go after FFE i was into a canadian girl online on dakka a while and that sorta crapped out after over a year and now i'm talking to more women IRL because online never seems to work out. There's one i met IRL but she has a boyfriend and is asexual but she plays warhammer and likes some stuff i like. I'm trying to talk to a couple at the local sandwich shop and the one i talked with lately doesn't like star wars or lord of the rings but likes harry potter and twilight (i rolled my head around after hearing about twilight). I probably shouldn't have said anything but i said "So you like your vampires to sparkle?" possibly jokingly and she said "I think all vampires should sparkle." Hopefully i didn't say anything she was unhappy about. I'm still gonna find out more of what she likes but some of those interests are iffy. She was curious about what i played whether D&D or Magic and it's Warhammer but she seemed ok with it. She has friends into those games but she's not into them herself. Anyway i think i'll give her some chances. She's cute and always smiling. Personally she seems to have fairly normal interests that most girls have. I just hope i can find something in common or something i can do with her. Who knows she's so cute she's probably taken though.

Anyway the sandwich shop girl could work out. There's some other girls online i could try but i think long distance and/or online is a no go and i shouldn't try for that. So here's to hoping :/.
