The ghouls, skeletons, zombies and spirit hosts look fine. Not sure i'm into the rest though. I think it's an issue of the colors you painted them.

No not really. I've seen both your forces and prefer your orcs and goblins actually as far as paint schemes go. I think lighting definitely caused a problem for your guys. Fix the lighting problem and the picture should improve a bit.

Gloss varnish is the problem I've had the problem before. They look okay when you have them in your hand, but once they see a flash everything goes wrong. Just look at the difference on the ghoul pictures. The one of the entire unit is much lighter than the single ghoul. The single ghoul pic was taken without flash.

He looks so slimey and gooey. I'd be disgusted to touch him but i think that's the point. Vampire counts are perfect for halloween.
