Can't really tell much about it, i'm wwaiting to buy the rules untill the box set comes out. That's normally better value for money.

I don't have it yet, but I usually get both the boxed set and the rulebook. People are saying something about the fluff has changed a bit too (in terms of the 40k universe moving on to 'the time of ending'), so I'll be interested to read about that.
People are also saying the changes are a lot like 8th ed fantasy - random charges, psyker cards, expensive dice, templates and counters, and Flyers instead of monsters.
I already have 5 dak angels from the starter set, as they're already in the 40k starter paint set. They look the same as AoBR marines, but the shoulder pad with the DA iconography embossed on it is a seperate piece.
Edit - dark angels, rather tan duck angels

So how did 6th edition turn out? I'm kind of interested to know. I kind of want to start a dark eldar army.

I have the new edition, but had to leave it at work. *Rage!*
It looks interesting. I'm more interested in allies and fortifications now that I look at them. I'd rather have a good anti-air defence than take flyers. That being said I shelved my plans to buy a storm guppy, but I'm looking at getting an aegis defence line for my old guard army. I have a bastion, though, which I'll have to make a new army for.. *Joy!*
Oh. You can only have one 'fortification' per primary detatchment.. Although my other gaurd army is big enough to split into 2 detatchments, as at 2000 points you get double force org charts, anyway.
Also the allies let you get a fourth HS (or other) slot into smaller games (e.g. 1250-1850 points), so that should make interesting list combinations.

I've heard flyers are ridiculous in the new edition and that a lot of things took a hit like power weapons being like ap 3 now of all things.

You should've put the missile guy on top lol. I think his line of sight would've been better that way .

He's glued on. The lasgunner is the 'spare wound'; which is why he's drilled and pinned.
It's just annoying. I was going for lascannon teams, but had to change 3 to missile launcher teams and rewrite part of my list and model assembly plans.

Normally i'd prefer lascannons myself but then i hear rockets are going to get a flak variant at some point vs air units so that'll be infinitely useful. Somehow a laser which intercepts at the speed of light is worse than something that intercepts much slower though.

Probably only in future codexes. We'll see what happens with the next WD, whether the Chaos list is a proper codex or just a white dwarf update.

The chaos army in the new starter set looks amazing.
Honestly i don't see why you should have a problem shooting missiles. This might sound odd as it's normally probably meant for rifle sized guns but couldn't you use the vision and gun slits in the aegis defense line? I mean it might sound stupid with rockets but still it should make sense with rifle sized weapons at least.

If they're kneeling they're well below the slits. They need to be standing, unfortunately..
