There will be no need. At over 2k I'll have 2 aegis lines to hide them in, and they are pretty long. I've shelved my bastion. I reckon Marines will be better off with the bastion, so I'll have to do a marine army based around a bastion with a quad gun. That's 125 points just for the bastion and gun, total. Any suggestions for the army? I'm thinking tactical squads, a couple of whirwinds, 2 storm talons and some land speeders, but I need something SOLID to defend the bastion itself. An apothecary might be an idea. The bastion counts as an AV14 building, but there are special charts for units inside buildings which mean they could take major damage to the squad every time the building takes damage too. I think guard are too fragile for bastions.....

Whirlwinds are often overlooked but i think they're good. You have plenty reaching out to the enemy and hitting them esp. hordes. Do you have anything good for facing marine armies esp. assault based ones? I feel like your list might not be great vs. grey knights and the specific chapter space marine codexes which are more assault based.

Hehe it looks like a cheesy sci-fi alien bounty hunter or something. It's like an old space ghost or star trek villain from way back. I think you should use him as a dark archon bodyguard. What were those snake guys called again? Was it slyyth?

Since I have another 9 heads i was thinking a squad of alternate dark eldar allies.
Unfortunately I have sooooo much imperial stuff to do, it's unlikely to EVER happen.
I ordered a forge world hydra today with the only spending money I've had for weeks. Weeks I tell you.... Hydra!

Dude i've been trying to buy some GW stuff for months with no luck. I know exactly what you're going through considering groceries and going out just to play costs so damn much (because of gas and food).
I hear with the new air units being so powerful people are investing a lot more into anti-air like hydras now. I feel kind of bad for people with armies that are really underpowered and without much in the way of anti-air. Wonder how nids and orks are dealing with all this crap. Nids must need a serious punch now. I don't know if i like the idea of air as melee armies can't hurt it very easily so getting creamed by a stupid flying vehicle most of the game with no chance to destroy it is just utterly retarded.

Supermarkets have gone sky high, but just try going to look around a small corner shop in an expensive area. Obviously the US is a whole world away, so IDK what sort of small corner shops you get out there. Do you have 7-11s? Are 7-11s 24 hour?
'Nids will get the harridan or harpy flier next year and then they'll knock all other fliers out of the game, most probably. The crazy thing is that Nids and Daemons can take Aegis defence line, bastions, et all. If there is no firing model for your emplaced weapons they fire automatically at BS2.

The guardsmen and nord marine are cool but it looks really chaos-y since it came from a warriors of chaos model. Maybe it's just because only chaos seems to have horned helmets. I like the ABC warrior and the heart with blood drop shoulder pad looks pretty sweet.

That's a spot-on Lamenters colour scheme. Just check out a Blood Angel codex or search for the Lamenter space marines on google, if you don't believe me

I finally got something painted again, people. A 5 man grey hunter squad. I can't belive I pulled 36 chaos heads off and replaced them all with Imperial heads, but there you have it... Also, I found this image on the internet and... I had to make one myself too.. Mine will be a Space wolf, but he has the same pose, pretty much. Just need to paint him. And I want to make a Lone Wolf Batman, as well.

Never really been a fan of space wolves or any space marines in general or you know rabid wolves . Maybe you should have a squad of space wolves and name them 'team jacob' for laughs. Dear god that'd scare me. I always kid with my friend jacob about his team name being that for warhammer. I think the disgusted looks some people get from that is hilarious. Anyway your 1st of 2 recent posts looks finished and therefore really good. My painting skill is total crap and i know absolutely no techniques for anything other than regular painting with like a single paint on each area. I do throw out some details but nothing too serious. I give my skaven red eyes because it looks cool, rat-like and evil. However i haven't been painting much. I had an odd burst of inspiration and painted my warlord spinetail model a lot more but then i got bored and stopped painting again. We'll see if i get back to it at some point.
