That's one heck of a conversion. I can see the chaos dread and battlecannon components but where did you get the ork head, inside the ork head?
Is that Milliput you used instead of GS?
As for the chapel ; the paint scheme is outstanding. Great bit of terrain.

I have cannibalised Da Rippa. That is his head and he is wearing his squig's head! I also cut of one of his feet for this model, the non-hellbrute foot, and his powerclaw is the claw. It is milliput and I added some more to the cannon arm to integrate it with the model better, it got sneaking tentacle veins. The claw arm also got some of my plasti-card orky plating to balance things.

That looks awesome. Too bad the orkz didn't receive anything as cool for their re-release. I could imagine that'd make a cool ork version of a hellbrute. Perhaps it's a warboss or just some super mutant roided up ork that didn't get his fill of stompin'.
If i remember the orkz in their lore could reach the size of planets or something or at least get really big. I wouldn't be surprised if we started seeing some mega troll sized orkz or gargantuan orkz.

Yes, technically Orks can always get bigger but they do it through fighting so they need to find bigger and badder enemies that don't quite manage to kill them. Back in the Crusade there was an Ork so baddass that The emperor needed his bro Horus to take it down with him. Sadly 40k's narrative means that Orks don't really get bigger than Ghazghkull. This guy is still only half done but at this point you can mostly see where I'm going with the colours.

I can't believe you chopped the ltd ed warboss and squig up but the result is worth it! I like the fact that you can clip a mask on his face like that Smooth work with the sculpting there; it looks amazing with colours on it.

I hope it will look better once the shading and highlights are done As for cutting up Face Rippa, well he looked like a tweaked version of the Blackreach boss that was about 2% bigger (and thus 2% better). Probably the best thing about him was the face which I harvested for this Besides, didn't you convert your ltd ed Wolf Lord?

I suppose you can always get another nob head onto Face Rippa's body although it might look a bit small. Maxmini do those new resin ork heads with mechanical lower jaws. I just saw some by accident because Skavenblight is right next to Maxmini on my favourites list and my hand twitched accidentally on the other site as I clicked.. Edit : Maxmini ork mek headsYeah, all I did was change the head for a t/ wolf cavalryman's head, which is the same exact system (i.e. flat, unlike the normal marine heads), remove a small wolf pelt from his badge and cut his hand off.

Since I've been waiting for Total War 2's turn timer to get through all the factions I've been working on my Vampire counts. So far I've painted my zombies and Vargheists up to a basic table top standard and moved on to making some more zombies, skeletons and Grave Guard from scraps and spare parts. Here's the army progress. A bunch of things need more attention but I wanted to get everything up to a basic level before going back and finishing. A work in progress of some kitbashes to get some more zombies and skeletons without picking up any more boxes. Some old Empire troops back from when they first got a swordsmen/halberd box. The champion parts that came in the multipart kit were metal! Aaaaand now they're Graveguard, well five of them are. I used some spare Black Knight parts for the undead bits. (These are only partway done, I need for the gs kilts/skirts to dry a bit before I can do more)

And using a super handy tutorial I found on Carpe Noctem I added some lameller armour to the front.
