Now i don't know much about this other than that if you'd like write more than one post and somebody else hasn't posted yet you edit your post. There should be an 'edit post' or 'modify post' feature somewhere on the post you made. This will prevent you from writing 2-3 posts in a row and double or triple posting. This is mostly done for neatness but it will get annoying if you don't use it.
Another tip is that if you want to make a new thread you should first use the search button and write up a topic for a thread that you want. This should let you know if the thread has already been created. Now i know similar threads can be made with different wording but this is helpful so that you don't make multiple threads for a thread that already exists. This shouldn't be a problem currently as we don't have really any threads currently.
Normally something people shouldn't do is thread necro. This is basically bringing a thread back that has been inactive for 3, 6 or more months. Usually in this case people don't mind if you just make a new thread for the same topic. This is an exception to the search function.
If you can't find a good place for your thread ask me and i will help you. If a sub-forum doesn't exist for the thread i will make one.
Try your best to make threads that don't say something like "Look at This" or "This is Shocking." This gives no hint at what the topic of your thread is about and could be anything. I would like to know what the hell we're talking about so i don't have to search for 30 seconds to figure it out. Seeing 5-10 threads like this would get incredibly annoying though it is unlikely that would happen so much.
If you want to message a member of the forum click the members area at the top. Try not to stalk anybody unless you're just teasing them
. Don't go to far though as i'll have to tell you to stop. Normally i'd go easy on stalkers believe it or not unless they're super creepy but proboards doesn't like it so i'll have to step in. Stalking hurts everybody and you should move on. Trust me the person you're stalking often isn't worth the attention you give them.
If you have any trouble with an offensive post there should be a 'report' or 'report to admin' button. I've never used it so i don't know how it works but you are probably able to explain what offended you about something a member has said or done. Let me know and i'll put a stop to it.
