So how are the new high elves as far as rules, lore and everything goes. I actually liked the look and idea of the sisters of averlorn. They sound fairly potent. All i remember is glancing at it and seeing they have 24" range strength 4 magic longbows basically. I can't remember if they're flaming too. It seems fairly potent to me.
The flying chariots that look like they're being carried by the legendary pokemon back with the original pokemon were pretty interesting looking too.
I'm not sure what the difference is with the new shadow warriors. I can imagine they look darker with the steel they wear to blend in better. Possibly very grim looking with the model.
Also how have phoenix guard, swordmasters and white lions changed? I heard high elves now have regular 'always strikes first' and no more speed of asuryan to give them 'always strikes first' regardless of weapons held so basically swordmasters strike at initiative 6 or so without re-rolls to hit. Personally something is really attractive to me about the phoenix guard that wield halberds and now they must be even better considering they should be the only high elf melee unit that can re-roll to hit now most of the time.
Anyway the new book is by mat ward and i know that'll probably throw out a ton of hate. I heard he hasn't done too terrible with fantasy books and that he's getting better now honestly so we can stop hating him endlessly i hope. Besides the high elf release seems pretty good. I prefer it to some of the other more recent warhammer fantasy army model releases.
What do you guys think?
