I painted this up a while back to see how my purple forest idea would actually look. The GW forest stand is a lovely kit but it is quite hard keeping all the leaves on the trees, quite a few have been knocked off since I built this; of course that was back around the time The Avengers came out.
The difference in colour between the first photos and the later photos is the flash being turned off.

I'll admit this terrain is a lot more fitting for your guardsmen than the previous terrain. I'm guessing the trees are from a weird alien planet or that they're toxic or radioactive or something. Perhaps tyranids had something to do with it.

Xenos terraforming that the original explorator team covered up as a slight malfunction in STC terraforming during the dark ages.

These forests are amazing. I'm doing mine without the leaves; apparently you can use the leaf canopies and wooden kebab skewers to make a different type of tree.

That sounds awesome; the leaves are great. I'd recommend leaving them on the sprue to paint them.

The only problem with painting on the sprue is having to cut mould lines off later.

It should be okay with the canopy. I think the only blemishes will be from where it is attached to the sprues.

I can't forsee any problems spraying my trees assembled, the leaves will be left off anyway. Just remembered that I should have sorted all my terrain issues out in one fell swoop. Do you remember the old necromunda boxed set with the card buildings/ bulkheads? I got that stuff all untouched, as if it was new  Ooooooh yeah..... |
