The Manchurian Candidate

Now i'm not saying this is the best movie ever and i heard it was a remake but this is one of my favorite movies ever. This only counts movies i have seen so if you've seen something better it's both your opinion and probably something i haven't seen. This movie is somewhat psychological and the craziest thing is their manipulations almost work and the bad guys almost win. In fact they probably should've won except there were a few hitches in their complicated plans as to be expected. The complexity of all these manipulations and their knowledge of public opinion on certain things was just astounding. There are probably better movies out there and i'm trying my best not to spoil it but this is probably my favorite movie so far that i've seen. That's honestly saying a lot because though i don't really hate most movies to get an extreme opinion of hate or like out of me means that it really must be a big deal. I never give perfect scores either but this movie is damn near perfect in my opinion.

Funny how i checked the ratings on wikipedia and the original movie had a much better rating than the more current one. I only saw the more current one but i loved it. I'm surprised the response i hear from some people about this movie is that it's decent or good. I thought the movie was fantastic and the bad guys almost won and probably should have. The movie was great psychologically which i love and the mom was a great villain. I knew it was her early on when i guessed but it was still great. It's disturbing the dude's mom had implied sexual relations with her mind controlled son. Maybe everybody tried comparing it with the other movie and that's hard for anything to live up to and everything else is known for the most part. It's hard for it to stand alone when everybody compares it to something.
