Thinking about going beastmen

I know i still have dark eldar and vampire counts to think about once i'm done with my skaven and i don't want to leave my skaven entirely but i probably will sadly at some point. I am interested in beastmen though with hatred and big monsters. I don't know how much of a fan i am of super melee and almost no shooting but ambushing seems fun if beastmen can have even a halfway decent version of it (i hear it's not that good anymore). Still the big monsters seem cool and even ones with all those rules stacked to them seem useful. I'm not really a fan of the centigors and i like bestigors or the look of them even if i hear they're very inefficient points-wise.

Anyway i'd like some advice if you guys are willing to give it.

Sorry i have no experience with beastmen whatsoever. I just know the razorgor looks stupid and that for every unit you put in ambush, you MUST have a similar unit on the front line.

I don't think the razorgor is too bad. I'd like to take a look at the new beastmen monsters though. Gorgons, cygors and jabberslythes oh my!

I find the jabberslythe to be a great looking model, but i bet it's murder to paint him up.

The other two i don't like. The models jjust don't have enough fur to be bestmen.

I have the beastmen army book somewhere. I'll go and find it on Sunday.

The current rules state you have to split your army in half, I believe.
Half the army comes on, the other half 'ambushes'. And you can get plenty of shortbows in there with Ungor raiders with shortbows and hand weapons if you want.
Gors are what you want most of and bestigors for the special choices. Bestigors can have a chaos mark as well.

I think somebody i know said bestigors suck or that everything but gors and ungors cost too much in points. I'll see about all this later.
