Not much else to say other than that. In fact i think i'll enjoy the movie no matter how it turns out even if it's somewhat disappointing.

It looks ok? but i just can't stand that Stallone is not dredd. I have that with many newer movies, if i am used to someone playing a character, changes to the cast remove part of the fun for me.

I'm looking forward to it. I doubt it'll be great but who knows. I think it'll give it a shot. It'll be nerdy fun at least.

I heard this movie got really good reviews in the UK. Supposedly it's out in europe or at least the UK and it's getting really good reviews to the extent that a sequel is likely. People were saying this is on par with 'the avengers' and 'the dark knight' batman movies so definitely worth a watch. I also heard from somebody on there it was low budget. Of course this is just all comments on the internet but maybe a couple are true enough.

Just got back from the theater after watching it and it was great. Most of the movie does indeed take place in that one city block (aside from shots of the city and the first chase scene mostly). They give you a bit of an idea of the universe of the series. The movie is pretty graphic so you should watch out for that. The female lead is indeed a psychic. They work the slo-mo effects and 3D pretty well and even without. The movie is a hell of a lot darker than the stallone one that's for sure. Also events have more consequence to them even if they seem kind of small. One of my favorite parts of the movie was all the gun ammo types they had just like in the stallone movie except some were a lot more potent and graphic (and flame-based while we're at it). Maybe we should have a razor based weapon. They also had plenty of stun and gas grenades as well but they were small and they had to be thrown or placed (some were like door breaching charges).
Ok now for spoilers. DO NOT READ IF YOU DON'T WANT IT TO BE SPOILED!!!
There is a part in the movie where 4 judges are corrupt and basically are called in by mama (she basically tells her lackey to call 911 'american emergency/police number' since i here you brits have a different number) and then we see more trained professionals with bad ass guns ready to take on our heroes (which is a nice change from the normal bad guy fodder). There's also a part in the movie where they get trapped on a level and then they just unleash chain gun fire and kill off plenty of innocent civilians caught in the crossfire. Also if you saw the first movie the whole scene where if you hold a judge's gun it'll take your arm off if you're not a judge totally happened in this movie with one guy. The female judge starts off as a bit of a rookie that is basically a damsel in distress and then turns bad ass right after that one dude's arm blows off basically. Dredd also got shot in at least one part of the movie. The end finally goes about with mama getting thrown from the building after being forced slo-mo by judge dredd and it shows her fall and her face somewhat pancaking near the end (not as cool as it sounds but still kind of cool). Oh and also we get a hot mental and psychic image of the hot blonde judge girl doing it with the bad black guy. Not that it happened but it was what he was thinking. Who wouldn't want to tap that though? I'm surprised in the movie she was supposedly 21. She is also a psychic.
End of Spoilers.
So the movie was great and deserves sequels. Not much else to say. Each judge seems to be worth about 20 standard baddies with guns. Judge Dredd is worth a ton of mindless henchmen apparently and more powerful enemies. Can't wait to see how he handles more elite bad ass guys in a future sequel if there are any. I've heard some people suggest they make a 'dark judges' sequel.
I probably didn't write all of that in the best order but there ya go.
