So about three weeks ago a mate and I decided to watch the entire series back to back. Or one movie per week anyway.
What were your impressions of the newer movies (parts 1-3) as opposed to the older ones (4-6) ?

The anakin kid version and jar jar annoyed the hell out of me in episode 1. Episode 2 had action but whatever. Episode 3 isn't too bad. Fans just love to hate things. Try not to let them get to you about what you should love or hate. Though for me i tend to brush it under the rug when they're there. The older movies are better sure but the action scenes of course weren't there. Of course in years action will often look much crappier just like horror with straight up gore seems pretty pathetic years later. It's more about how it makes you feel in the end and a horror movie that makes you uneasy like the character is definitely a good one.

Still haven't started part 4 yet. Got distracted by Room 1408 this week. More on that later..

Some people really hate every prequel including episode 3 but that leads up to the bigger stuff. I understand though that george lucas could've written the characters a bit better and made things better. I think emperor palpatine was actually pretty bad ass during most of this.
