Man this model looks really nice. It's like some amphibious/reptilian beast from the sea or swamps. www.forgeworld.co.uk/New_Stuff/MERWYRM.htmlMan sounds like a coastal village's worst nightmare with that background.

Like Oh no! There's a massive fish dragging itself out of the ocean and slithering towards us! What do we do cap'n? *Sharpens knives!* Well lads. Looks like supper's a coming our way. Seriously, though, I hate seafood... Trish Morrisson / Carden's models are still as great as they were 20 years ago. Aly and Trish sculpted the old Marauder miniature Dwarf models. I had a regiment of 25 old school imperial dwarf pikemen that I sold stupidly cheap on ebay. That was one auction that I really messed up....

I just find it funny that it's venomous. For human or possibly even ogre sized creatures that isn't even going to matter. It would just swallow them whole anyway or bite them in half with its sharp teeth.

Maybe it gives it an advantage over other high toughness creatures, like trolls or giants..

It helps regardless though considering the strength in game it's not really gonna matter as it'll most likely wound them anyway. It will get to auto-wound on a to hit roll of a 6 but that only really matters against tougher creatures or opponents that have 'flesh to stone' on them. That's such a dumb spell.

Do they bother explaining how this thing is even breathing on land?
Is it some kind of magic? Was Freddie Mercury also a wizard?

I don't know. I imagine it's much in the same way as an amphibian. Not entirely sure though.
I hope he was a wizard.
