It sure feels like fantasy is the harder game system. I love it but hate it. Perhaps if 40k was less grim-dark and emo I'd get back into it. At least fantasy can take itself less seriously while having an overall more fun story (at least in my opinion). Perhaps you should try out warhammer fantasy again with emptyhat or try something else. You never know and maybe you'll both like it. Watch out for the really experienced players though in fantasy. Those guys tend to be bad asses. Perhaps I will buy some rat swarms and slings for my slaves in the future. It depends how well my future with slaves with slings is online. They probably work much better when teamed up with the leadership bubble from the grey seer general on screaming bell. That'll be a lot of guys to set up though. Anyway we'll see how it goes. Not much new is going on other than my birthday. Just been playing 'Wargame: Red Dragon' with emptyhat a lot and trying to get in some games of warhammer fantasy virtually today with mild success (an opponent had dinner and never came back). More on 'Wargame' is that lynata wants to play so I'm trying to see if I can play with her on steam. If so it'd be a hell of a lot of fun. It seems to suck the most when an enemy has a lot of aircraft. ---------- So one update is I just got the clanrat models my sister sent me in the mail. She bought me 3 of these because she's awesome when it comes to giving gifts (though I did tell her what I wanted). www.ebay.com/itm/WARHAMMER-BIN-BITS-ISLAND-OF-BLOOD-20x-SKAVEN-CLANRATS-with-WEAPONS-/360939685114?pt=Games_US&hash=item5409ae84faSo yeah that'll be yet another 60 unassembled clanrats or slaves. I should really get to fixing them up and assembling them. The idea of so many more skaven seems good. I'll be drowning in a tide of fur and chittering in no time as well as an endless supply of models to paint.

The size of the box was very small despite containing 60 clanrats with hand weapons. It's about the length of my hand, half of its width and half its depth. Here's a picture. The blurriness of the picture makes my arm hair look really thick, dark and nasty but it's an old phone and it's got a crappy camera.

How long until it becomes a tv show?
I assembled the first 5 clanrats. I was fairly pissed because earlier I had to do hours of work outside only to pay 10 USD to my half sister for gas, over 10 USD for a sandwich and got no games in and pretty much nothing happened the entire time I was there. I'd have probably been better off staying home all day making models or playing games. Instead I think my arms got bitten up from bugs during the yard work and I may have gotten sun burn on them.
I plan to get rat swarms and slaves with slings next in my army. I should have enough clanrat/slave models now so buying metal slings should be enough. If possible I'm gonna try to go with somebody besides my half sister because sometimes she can be a rather controlling and naggy person to be around. Some of it's true but it's just not pleasant to be around.

I was reading the Rogue trader original 40k rulebook a little bit the other day and it was mentioning, funnily enough, that 1 giant rat model represents 100 normal rats, if you want, and that 1 locust model represents 1000 locusts. The original 40k was also fully interchangeable with 3rd edition fantasy; so you can use any model or spell from that system in the game. Means I'll have to dig out the fantasy books as well.

If we were to represent skaven properly an army would be so ridiculously vast in comparison to their opponents. It'd be like an endless wave in comparison to a much smaller elite army.

A huge rat once bumped into the back of my foot when I was young, on the riverside of the Thames in Richmond. And apparently rats are getting bigger and more immune to poisons; creating a new generation of 'super rats'.

A huge rat once bumped into the back of my foot when I was young, on the riverside of the Thames in Richmond. And apparently rats are getting bigger and more immune to poisons; creating a new generation of 'super rats'. This seems to happen in cycles. I think I remember once hearing during World War I soldiers sighted rats as big as cats and they were bold enough to fight the barely living to feast on them when they could barely defend themselves if at all (they probably killed some and I wouldn't doubt it). Mice are pretty cute but I hear rabid rats are actually pretty fearsome. Very vicious creatures and I have no idea where the whole skaven cowardice comes into play since from what little I heard wild rats sound aggressive. ------------ Today I played a game against Tomb Kings and barely lost. I failed a few charges with any one possibly swinging the battle in my favor. Each one was failed by about an inch too. He also made some ridiculous charges himself. I love fantasy and I like the look of the models and would like more hobby time but sometimes I just want to throw in the towel. It just doesn't feel worth it even if I generally play against players with years of experience behind them with an army I barely get to change due to money problems. Earlier today I also watched the latest 'X-men' movie. The alternate future part was kind of cool as well as the super fast mutant (the scene where the fast mutant takes out the security guards in slow motion is actually pretty hilarious). Some parts of it were super ridiculous though like mystique posing as Nixon in order to take a bullet instead of normal people or the bit about Nixon and the fucking super robots with jet boosters and gatling guns in the 70's being used to combat mutants. There was a lot of terrible and badly explained parts to the movie and yet some parts were awesome. Some parts of the movie were terrible but it was entertaining in other scenes as well as good in some as well. So some people may act as if this film was the worst thing to happen to x-men or the best x-men thing ever but I enjoyed it as a summer film. It definitely won't be a favorite but if I have to kill some time and see it on TV during a holiday somewhere i'll probably watch it.

So yesterday or so I was watching some porn (yes I know I'm pervy) and in it there were 2 test subjects and the woman took out her boobs and started playing with them and the guy was like 'What?! What is going on here.' to which the guys behind the window said 'do not touch subject number one.' and I just laughed my ass off. I couldn't help but think of him saying 'I am not a NUMBER!!! I am a FREE MAN!!!' and then ripping off his clothes before doing her. That didn't happen but if it did I would've totally lost my shit.
As for other recent goings on there hasn't been much. I played against beastmen and he had a crap ton of chariots. The guy I play against has apparently played warhammer fantasy since it started pretty much and has some super old armies. He had like 6 or more minotaurs and a doombull BSB all of which I managed to kill. I also killed half the chariots. That said in the end it was just too much for me. Perhaps if I go for the warp lightning warlock spam or just go for some more melee oriented commanders. I just don't know how to handle skaven anymore. There's only a few people in the store that know what they're doing but the others still kind of beat me. I feel like a chunk of it is because I suck against lizardmen. I dunno this is getting ridiculous. I hate losing every game I play. It just gets frustrating after a while esp. since I'm more into this for the game and not the painting bit. Maybe I should paint or model more and see if I can get into that.

So for the most part not a whole lot has been going on. I've been playing 'xenonauts' recently and it's basically like the old 'xcom' games. It's fun but hard as hell. More recently and more unfortunate is the back trouble I'm now in. I pulled a muscle in my back and have had constant back trouble since earlier today. I'm a little bit happy I went to get a check-up right when it happened. Hopefully my back pain goes away but for now I can't lift much and should probably rest some more.

Trying to decide what to use in an upcoming game VS Orks. I found 3 razorbacks with assault cannons yesterday, built and unpainted

This might be weird to say but I think if I made fun of the IGMB overall you'd be in a bane outfit with a bane voice. "You thought it was you 'coming' onto me, but it was really me 'coming' onto you the whole time huh batman (requiem)." Seriously I think you'd be the most fitting person as Bane esp. since requiem was in some ways like batman. I'd also have an 'action masturbation' Rook figure complete with scarlet oven mitt and cardboard masturbation device (basically an action figure of rook) and then a super realistic Reds with super muscular thighs and skull codpiece (Reds would look much like M. Bison from street fighter) to fight him on a bunch of transparent cubes which rook knocks down with his patented 'cock rocket'. "Hello Rook you will never stop my impossibly evil scheme while I'm standing on these incredibly unstable transparent cubes for some reason." *rook shoots cock rocket into the cubes and Reds falls down in slow motion* "NOOOOOO!!!!" In case you don't know that makes fun of the old commercials with action figures where the baddie would stand on transparent cubes for no particular reason. I'm not sure if they showed similar ones in the UK.
------------
I should work up the energy to build a screaming bell already but I'm not sure I'd have the appropriate room. They are so random but I feel like the 360 degree spell casting arc as well as the raised position to cast on, the 18" range of the general from being on a large target and just the ward saves are just all worth it. The thing which might not be is getting your general cannon sniped since a cannon works like a thin template and hits both the bell and the seer riding it. All they have to do is wound and you fail your ward once and there goes all your spells for lord choices which is a lot and your general's leadership bubble which is super huge. That said only dwarfs, empire, ogres and skaven have cannons and the ones skaven use have variable strength. That said it's still enough to torch through a grey seer and his 4+ ward in no time since that's all he's got.
------------
I only remember how annoying assault cannons were against my vehicles in a game before. I'm not sure how they handle now. You should totally use the storm talons. That's the little helicopter thing right? It's actually one of the few fairly new toys space marines got that I actually like. I also enjoy the anti air cannons that can hunt different targets though. Sure guard should have had their guns first but I can't get over how it still looks kind of cool. Guard probably deserved a more half track feel to theirs though. The chimera and leman look to most guard vehicles and boxy rhino look of most space marine vehicles just needs to go away I think. Yeah I understand they're probably standard design but they deserve some different chassis. It probably makes sense since it's effective, reliable and old but considering all the many different worlds I'm sure some have to have some different vehicles to hold the same weapons with overall the same effect. Give valhallans a freaking half track look on forge world or something. I think it'd work.

So yeah fairly recently i found out lynata was a guy. He's still a nice guy though. Other than that I'm just getting trolled like shit in games like 'dark souls' and 'xenonauts'. I did find out that there's also a warmachine game in the works on steam. store.steampowered.com/app/253510/

It can easily replace one of my landspeeder typhoons and my level 1 librarian at the same cost.
